About me
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Let’s get right to it.
About my background
I was born in Mexico, where I grew up. My first memories are of my father reading bedtime stories until my brother and I fell sound asleep, and when he couldn’t quite succeed, he’d encourage us to create our own stories. The use of brain-power quickly drained us of energy, so I would say it was an effective method.
If you want to look for the reason behind my love for stories, that’s the very beginning.
Since then, I’ve been creating stories, adventures, characters and conflicts, all for the fun of it. However, when I discovered the written word held the power of projecting and sharing the stories in my head, I began working on and improving my craft. And I still am.
About my writing
Although I was part of the literature group during college, I never ‘officially’ studied to be a writer. I’ve practiced my craft independently throughout my career and as I wrote homework, essays, and whatnot. Today, I’m making a conscious effort to practice every day to keep my creative muscles active. I want to keep improving my writing little by little. My goal is to share fun and engaging stories that people would like to come back to.
My favorite genre is fantasy.
Among my ‘highlight’ authors are Charlie Fletcher (Stoneheart Trilogy, Oversight Trilogy), Brent Weeks (The Night Angel Series), Brandon Sanderson (The Mistborn Trilogy), Robin Hobb (The Farseer Trilogy), J.R.R. Tolkien (the man himself: The Lord of the Rings), Andrej Sapkowski (The Witcher), Christopher Paolini (The Inheritance Cycle), Rick Riordan (Percy Jackson, Kane Chronicles), Micheal Scott (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel), Partick Rothfuss (The Kingkiller Chronicle, that I’m still salty about)…
Needless to say, fantasy is what I write most about, in the form of short stories and novelettes. And a novel in the not-so-distant future…
About what you’ll find here
Now, here’s what you really want to know.
In this site, you’ll find information about my published works, posts that pertain to my writing process, and things I’m curious about. Maybe in the future I’ll also write about the fantasy worlds my stories will take place in. We’ll see how that goes!
If you’re reading this in 2025, I’m in the process of writing my very first novel and building this website, so there’s more to come! If you want to stay up to date with my writing process and other shenanigans I get up to, consider subscribing to my newsletter! You’ll get a free short story if you do…
And that’s all for now
Enjoy, and happy reading!
