Hello hello!
For those of you who followed my old blog a few years ago, thank you for sticking around. And for the new people, welcome! It’s been a busy couple of years and it has taken quite a lot of time to organize myself and my online presence.
A bit of context: I began tinkering with building an author website back in 2019 and I made a couple of posts. It helped me promote my very first published short story Desert Soul and experiment with all the cool features that a blog offers. This was all thanks to my writing support group at The Write Practice.
After that, I moved overseas to continue my professional studies. I wrote a lot for a while and even published a story in an anthology with some fellow writers, called The Rearview Mirror. However, after the pandemic, things got complicated, to say the least. I did find the time to write and publish a short story, Of Stones and Feathers, in Short Fiction Break in spring 2022, but after that… My emotional energy was invested in my academic responsibilities.
Now, in 2025, I’m back to deliberately practicing my writing. And what better way to get things done than… writing my first novel!
Yes, thanks to my friends and mentors at The Write Practice, I’m slowly but surely getting things in order so that I can publish my first novel in 2026. As of June 2025, I’ve already written the first draft and I’m waiting to hear back from my editor. I’m so excited!
So, in the next couple of weeks and months you’ll get news of how this process is going. You’ll also see this site growing as I re-learn how to manage all this.
